Today while playing with Violet I snapped this picture. She looks ready for summer, if only the weather would agree with her

Today Melissa asked me to take a picture of her to send to Jack Sh*t, Getting Fit. At first I wasn’t going to use it for my picture of the day, but its such a great picture I couldn’t resist. It also gives me an opportunity to share Melissa’s new weight loss blog: Shrinking Mama

Today was mothers day so I thought I’d share some of what the kids and I got Melissa. The picture and its frame was from Jacob, he made it at pre-school. He was very excited to give it to mommy this morning. I hope all the mothers out there had a good day.

Today we spent the afternoon at Nana and Papa’s house. It was nice to spend the afternoon with newly weds. While there Jacob climbed into his sleeping bag to show it off. I think it was the first time I’ve seen it. He’s all ready for summer camp, though I think camp isn’t ready for …

Over the last 6+ weeks Melissa has lost over 30 pounds, and today it had its fist casualty. Before our evening run, we headed out to the store to get her some new pants. We didn’t even wait to get home to get rid of her now two sizes to big pants.

Today I turned 33, it was great to wake up with Jacob singing happy birthday.

Today after Violet went to bed Jacob opened up the welcome to kindergarten package and pulled out the magnetic numbers and letters. I was really surprised he managed to wait that long. Here he matches the numbers to a print out that came with them.
