Yesterday Jacob’s team faced an elimination game. After loosing the first playoff game, they needed to win to force a third and deciding game. I’m happy to say they won.
Month:March 2016
POD: Yellow Belt for Violet
Last night it was Violet’s turn for Belt testing. While Jacob went first she went last. I’m happy to say she did a great job and passed with flying colours.
POD: Green Strip for Jacob
Today was Jacob’s belt testing and I’m happy to say that he aced it. I think it helped that he was the first one called, so he didn’t have to sit there worrying about how he’d do.
POD: Mother Daughter Game
Yesterday was the last Wednesday night practice for Violet’s DS team. Instead of a regular practice it was a mother daughter game. Everyone had a great time. It was a shame that some of the Mom’s couldn’t make the game, I know Melissa was disappointed she had to work.
POD: Violet’s Family Portrait
With March break approaching, some of Violet’s art work has come home. So I thought I’d share this picture of the family she drew.
POD: Working on Hockey Skills
Even with the season winding down Violet works on her skills at her weekly practices. I love watching her skate and compete with other kids.
POD: Violet Reads
After Violet’s hockey game, we headed to the local library where Violet found herself a big girl book.
POD: Hanging with Nate
Saturday mornings Violet heads to dance class, where we see Nate, who’s class finishes right before Violet’s starts.
POD: Chicken Parm
Last night we headed to East-side Mario’s with Nana, Papa, and the kids. I snapped a picture of my Chicken Parmesan. It was good, but not as good as Melissa makes.
POD: Jacob’s Writing
The other day I asked Jacob to put down his electronics and write me something, and after his first attempt which was just the word ‘something’ he wrote this.
